Launched at this year’s Goldsmiths’ Fair, this pendant forms part of a new collection of Golden Futures pendants, this time inspired by the natural world.
When designing this piece and selecting the symbol which would be visible behind the window of blue iolite, I wanted to choose a bird which complimented the beautiful jewel tone of the gemstone slice and could be perceived to be flying through the twilight sky.
Hummingbirds are also considered to be the messengers between humans and spirits and in many cultures are seen to bring blessings and good fortune. They are also considered to be a symbol of love, hope and harmony with nature, making them the perfect symbol for this meaningful pendant.
The hummingbird was carved by an award winning hand engraver - making this piece truly one of a kind.

Details:
Materials: Hand engraved hummingbird seen beneath an iolite slice and surrounded by blue sapphires and set in solid 14ct yellow gold. Hung on a 14ct yellow gold rolo belcher chain.
Carat Weight: 0.34ct of blue sapphires.
Measurements: Pendant measures: 21.0mm. Chain measures: 18” with additional jump ring at 16”.
